Sharing the Good Word via Television.
The good news of Jesus Christ is brought into the homes of Bellevue via the Lutheran Channel (38) which is programmed by Saint John's Television Ministry on the Bellevue Ivue Cable System. In 2007 we upgraded our system from a VHS camera to our new camera/recording/broadcasting system which expanded our capabilities.
Saint John broadcasts live on Sunday morning at 10 with the liturgy overlaid for people at home watching to participate in our worship. Other special services throughout the year are also broadcast. These include Lent worship services, Holy Week worship services and Christmas Eve candlelight. We also live broadcast the opening and closing each day of VBS (which includes the Thursday evening wrap-up).
During the week we re-broadcast the worship services and special services at various times.
Besides broadcasting worship, special programs and devotions, the Lutheran Channel provides an informational scroll with scheduled events along with pictures of recent events, prayer concerns and schedule changes. Many people turn on the Lutheran Channel to listen to our Christian music.
As we grow in this ministry, we envision providing biblical and theological studies, and programing for children, youth, and adults.
The world says that blood and sweat equals success. But we can rest in Jesus' finished work at the cross because of His blood, sweat, tears...
When we rest in the Lord and draw from His Word every day, we have the confidence in knowing our Father has already opened doors...
Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature...
